Together with these regulated 3rd parties, we've built in the necessary safeguards in place to guarantee the safety of your funds at all times.

We currently support mobile money and bank cards as topup options. Just hit Top-Up on the app to use any of them.

For M-PESA, Simply enter your M-PESA number to get an automated push to key in your M-PESA pin. This will be automatically processed and your account will be loaded with the amount you entered.

For bank cards, we currently support VISA, MasterCard & American Express carsds. Using the Bank Card option will redirect you to a secure payment screen where you'll be prompted with next steps.

You need an Android or iOS smartphone to download Tulix. You'll need to have a valid email address and phone number that can receive SMS notifications in order to sign up.

You also need to provide a valid government issued identification document (ID) e.g. ID card, passport, drivers license or residence permit for identity verification as per KYC requirements.

Yes. You can update your personal information in the App Settings.

On the homepage click on 'Pay' on the tab at the bottom.

Select 'mobile money payment' and fill in the relevant till number or paybill number details to make a payment.

Add the payment as a favorite or recurring to quickly make future payments

Tulix is a smart, new way for Kenyans anywhere to share money, budget and manage finances better.

The app enables users globally to instantly pay a business in Kenya from anywhere in the world using mobile money.

Users are able to share money on the app with their friends and family for specific needs such as school fees, rent and groceries, etc. without losing visibility over how and where money is used.

No. You can register on Tulix using any number that you're able to receive SMS messages on.

Yes. Tulix is a Kenyan product for all Kenyans globally whether home or abroad.

On Tulix, once you create and top up your jars, you can add your people as members who can make payments to businesses using your money in the jar. Therefore, you'll be sharing your money with them.

At the moment, you can only make payments to Kenya. We will be expanding into new African markets soon.

No, we don't store your financial information directly on the app. Your information is securly managed by our card payment service providers as an extra security measure to ensure the safety of your financial information when using Tulix.

Yes, you can view your transaction statement in-app in the analytics page next to the notification bell on the home screen. We're working on an e-mail statement for our users in future.

A Tulix Jar is a separate place where you set aside money for specific uses, whether it's for yourself or with others. With jars, you can manage your money better and get so much more out of your finances

Ready to try jars? Download the app and check them out for yourself.

You can only use the funds on Tulix to make payments to businesses. If you'd like to share money with an individual, you can do so by creating shared jars with other users who can use the funds to make payments as well.

Using jars. Create up to five jars and label them for different expenses like electricity, groceries and school fees then top up the jars. Anytime you want to set aside money for these specific things you can keep adding to your jar so you're always keeping money for expenses where they belong.

  1. Open the Tulix app.
  2. In the task bar at the bottom click on 'Jars'.
  3. Select 'Create a jar' and follow the prompts to complete the process.
  4. Name your jar then top it up.

Only you are able to see all the jars you create for yourself. When you add other people to your jars, they're able to see only the jars that you've added them to.

Jar members are able to make payments using money from the jar and can also contribute funds to the jar. All jar members are able to see the activity of other members within the Jar helping you collaborate easily. Learn more about Jars here. Learn more about Jars here.

Yes. You will receive an in-app confirmation as well as e-mail notifications to the registered email address on the app.

We charge transaction fees to make payments when using Tulix. Standard fees also apply when you top up your account depending on the mode you choose to use to top up. All fees are clearly broken down and indicated on the app as you navigate each step where fees are applicable.

Yes. You can use Tulix to pay a business Paybill or Till Number from anywhere.

Yes, you can make a payment at any time of the day.

If you’d like a merchant or a beneficiary to receive the payment confirmation, you can share the transaction details via Email, SMS, WhatsApp using the 'Share Transaction Details' button. You'll find this button when you scroll down the specific payment's screen.

Currently, you can make payments of between KES 10 and KES 100,000 per transaction / per day.

You will receive an in-app confirmation as well as e-mail notifications to the registered email address on the app.

You can currently purchase airtime for yourself or another person on Safaricom, Airtel, Telkom & JTL networks in Kenya. On the app, go to Pay -> Airtime & Utilities and follow the prompts.

Once you've made a successful payment, the transaction will appear on the 'Transaction List'. You can select indivudal transactions to get additional information such as the M-PESA reference which confirms that the transaction was successful and the business has received your payment.

No. Merchants are not charged to receive payments using Tulix.

No. The app is currently only available in English. Support for more languages shall be rolled out in future.

Yes. Tulix requires a data connection in order to function.

Yes. Use the recurrent payments feature under 'Pay'

Categories refer to the various payment classifications we have on Tulix like education, utilities, car and fuel and so many more. Categorise each payment to get a clear summary of where you spend your money for better budgeting.

On the Home screen under the section "Activity" you'll always see each top up. The same applies to Jar top ups.

If the merchant you're trying to pay is not currently listed, please use the 'Enter Merchant Details' button and manually enter the details. We'll verify & save the details after you successfully complete your transaction.

Payment through Tulix is intended to be seamless and instant, with Tulix forwarding funds immediately to user-specified merchants once instructions are issued. This makes reversing transactions difficult.

If you believe you've made a payment in error, you may contact us within thirty (30) minutes via support@tulix.app and we will attempt to contact the merchant and recover the funds. However, we can’t guarantee the same as per our Terms and Conditions. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for more information on erroneous transactions.

Our fees for making payments range from KES 15 to KES 225 depending on the payment amount as listed below:
